ABOUT
We are a group of six providers who have chosen to specialize in the diagnosis and non-surgical treatment of spine, nerve, and musculosketal conditions. Between us we have over 70 years of experience.

We utilize our physical exam skills in combination with diagnostic testing to come up with an accurate diagnosis and then formulate a comprehensive treatment program. We order and interpret imaging including X-rays, CT scans, MRIs, etc. We also perform electrodiagnostic testing (Electromyography [EMG] and Nerve Conduction Studies) to aid in the diagnosis of nerve pathology. Treatment options include, but are not limited to physical therapy prescriptions, medication trials, interventional procedures (epidural injections, selective nerve root blocks, intra-articular joint injections, tendon sheath injections, radio frequency ablation, etc.) and more.

The vast majority of spine, nerve, and musculosketal complaints do not require surgery. Our goal is to eliminate or at least minimize pain and to give our patients the tools they need to get back to a higher level function and ultimately a higher quality of life.
PHYSIATRY
A physiatrist is a doctor who specializes in physical medicine and rehabilitation. They treat patients directly or act as a consultant for acute and chronic pain, and musculosketal disorders. At Mountain West Sport & Spine, we focus on conservative care so that surgery is the last option. Therefore, we are able to prescribe physical therapy, chiropractic care, and pain medication for pain management. We also offer electromyography (EMG) test, spinal cord simulators, injections, and much more!
